Back for its fourth year, the annual Art Licks Weekend celebrates the contribution that emerging artists and grassroots projects make to the cultural life of London. For this three day festival artist-run projects, curatorial collectives and young galleries across the city open up their spaces for the public, with free events and exhibitions of young artists’ work.
I’m taking part this year through my work with London Sculpture Workshop. We will be holding a series of FREE events under the banner Matter Talks, which will act as a testbed for our forthcoming strands of outreach and artist development activity. Here’s our programme:
Thursday 30 September, 6pm – 8pm
Matter Talks launches on the opening night of the festival with a talk by Giles Corby on Making Things and a tour of London Sculpture Workshop.
