Angelica updates
In the first few months of 2021, Moran and I were invited to contribute to a number of different events, broadcast and publications about our work with Angelica. We tend to try to stay in the background – Angelica is not about us, after all, nor is it a curated project – but there has been an appetite to hear more about why and how we created the resource. You can find out more about each, and the links to access them, here:
Second Collective Introduces… Angelica: online talk, Friday 9th April 2021. View on YouTube here.
Second Collective Introduces is a series of online events aimed at female artists facing barriers to the arts. Second Collective is an organisation dedicated to supporting mature female artists by providing paid exhibition opportunities for fine artists, offering practical and mentoring support to these artists and by promoting learning opportunities and skill sharing opportunities for women in the fine art sector and beyond. ‘We value the contribution of artistic practice to the wider community and this is reflected in our commitment to ensuring that the artists we work with benefit from both financial remuneration and the practical support required to further their creative practice’. Visit the Second Collective website.
