Research Labs with Ormston House
I was recently invited to participate in a series of Research Labs by Ormston House, a ‘meeting place for the arts in the heart of Limerick City’.
Ormston House’s programme is ‘co-designed with artists and citizens, resulting in community partnerships, multi-annual projects and cultural events that are responsive to the city and its context… [connecting] curatorial practice with local knowledge and activism’.
As part of an Artist-Run Network Europe programme, the Research Labs workshop alternative impact measurements, enabling us to formulate a Blueprint that supports artist-run organisations/initiatives’ efforts to mediate their precarity. We’ll be meeting up again later in the summer for the next stage and hope to be able to publish and disseminate in early 2023. I’ll update this entry and share details of the Blueprint once published.
